FreshQi helps you track expiry and warranty dates for medicine, food, cosmetics, daily goods, electronics, documents & contracts, and more—with local notifications and widgets.
No account is required. The main shell has five entries: Home · Archive · Add (center +) · Data · Settings. Your item list stays on your device by default.
For a fuller walkthrough, open Settings → User Guide in the app.
Filter by In Use / Expiring Soon / Expired and by category. Tap an item to edit. Documents & contracts appear under Virtual Items. Swipe left to archive and choose an outcome.
Medicine, Food, Cosmetics, Daily Goods, Digital, Documents & Contracts, and Other. Each category has tailored date fields and default reminder rules (for example, cosmetics support period-after-opening; digital focuses on warranty; documents use validity dates).
History of finished items and outcomes (finished normally, expired & discarded, cleared / gifted, damaged, and more). Optional amounts feed waste / recovered totals. You can filter and search. Tapping a row does not open editing; long-press to Restore (back to Home) or Delete permanently.
Insights from archive outcomes: processed / waste / recovered, monthly trends, category ranking, zero-waste challenges, and badges. “This year so far” is a live year-to-date summary. Your formal annual report for the previous calendar year unlocks on New Year’s Day (tap “View my report”, or open from the New Year reminder). Amounts only include optional ¥ you entered while archiving.
Scan a package barcode to look up product details. Networked lookups may be limited: about 80 per year on Yearly Pro, about 160 per year on Lifetime Pro. If nothing is found, enter details manually or use photo recognition.
Photograph names, production dates, or shelf-life text to help fill the form. Recognition runs on your device—always verify before saving.
Local notifications fire before expiry. Enable Notifications in iOS Settings. Free users get built-in defaults; custom offsets require Pro. Archiving cancels pending alerts for that item.
Settings → Declutter Assistant: a 0–100 health score based on expired and soon-due items, plus grouped lists to prioritize. When you have items in use, the score also appears beside the menu row (e.g. “72 pts”).
Widgets show upcoming expiries, category lists, and high-risk medicine on the Lock Screen. Data is shared on-device via an App Group—no account required.
Settings → Data Backup: export or import JSON / Excel (optional photos) for device migration. The Data tab itself does not export files.
The free tier includes manual entry, basic reminders, archive, data insights, badges, Declutter Assistant, and widgets. Pro unlocks:
Yearly subscription and lifetime purchase are available (prices shown in-app / App Store). Purchases and Restore Purchases use your Apple ID.
You can revoke access anytime in Settings. Turning a permission off disables that feature only.
Poor lighting, glare, or tiny print reduce accuracy. Shoot the date area clearly and verify before saving.
Archive is history-only. To change details: long-press → Restore to Home → edit → archive again if needed.
The formal report covers the previous calendar year and unlocks on January 1. With notifications enabled, you may also get a New Year reminder; the first open in January can present it once if last year had archives.
Open the main app once, then refresh the Home Screen. iOS refreshes widgets on its own schedule—not every second.
Deleting the app removes on-device items and settings. If you exported backups, delete those files separately wherever you stored them.
