1. About Haoqi

Haoqi (好奇搭子), engineering name WhySeed, helps parents turn children’s “why” questions into age-banded talking points, follow-ups, and bedtime topics. Parents always speak the answer—the app does not lecture children, and children do not create accounts.

2. Getting started

1. Open the app → Ask tab.
2. Type or dictate the child’s question and pick an age band.
3. Read the script and follow-up; optionally tap “Listen first”.
4. Optionally save to Diary, or water the Growth Tree.

• Ask — age-banded scripts and follow-ups.
• Listen first — Doubao TTS (network required).
• Tonight’s topic — a short bedtime prompt.
• Curiosity diary — Q&A and the child’s words (optional audio).
• Growth tree — water to mark shared conversations.
• I said it wrong — repair scripts and curated cloud examples.
• Sensitive topics — more careful guidance (on-device by default).

4. Membership & packs

Subscriptions and topic packs are sold via Apple In-App Purchase. Pricing is shown at purchase time. Renewals, cancellations, and refunds follow App Store rules.

Manage in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. “Restore Purchases” only restores entitlements already bought with the current Apple ID.

5. Permissions

• Microphone / speech recognition — dictating questions and diary audio.
• Notifications — bedtime topics or birthday capsule reminders you enable.

You can turn these off in Settings → Haoqi; other saved local data remains.

6. FAQ

Why a “local script” notice?
Sensitive topics stay on-device; network or backend issues also fall back to a placeholder—try again later.

TTS sounds robotic?
Check your network and use a TestFlight / App Store build (Debug configs differ).

New device?
Data is mostly on-device; back up diaries you care about before switching phones.
